Wow, one day after my last post on China's latest subversion of the US, another story drops. Two Chinese nationals were arrested for recruiting members of the US Navy to spy for China and collect information on other Navy recruits and bases. Yuance Chen, from Happy Valley, Oregon, and Liren Lai, who traveled to Houston on a tourist visa in April, were arrested on Friday. Both face charges of overseeing and carrying out various clandestine intelligence tasks in the U.S. on behalf of the Ministry of State Security. As I've repeatedly said, every single Chinese national in the US and abroad is a spy.
Apparently, Lai recruited Chen back in 2021 to work for the MSS in their espionage schemes. They traveled to Naval bases and a recruitment center in San Gabriel, California where they took photos of a board on the wall with the names and hometowns of naval recruits. According to the criminal complaint, the majority of the names on the board had hometowns as China. The photos were sent to the MSS in China and then they acted on persuasion techniques to turn the recruits into spies. Just my opinion here, but most of those recruits were Chinese plants in the first place, but those that weren't were the ones targeted. As we already know, several Chinese recruits have been caught spying already. Maybe we should never allow another Chinese immigrant into our military ever again. It's beyond obvious what they are up to.
The two have traveled back and forth to Guangzhou, China to MSS headquarters and also did a cash dead-drop in a backpack to a recruit in 2021. Since these two are not trained spies, they were a little sloppy as are most of the civilians the MSS recruits, but it is with mass numbers of spies that they accomplish their goals. We can't or don't catch many of them and if they are caught and sent to prison, oh well, no loss to the Chinese. I'm sure today there will be several more captured and no one cares. It barely makes the news. No one really follows the trials or the testimonies. I'm sure some interesting information could be gleaned from reading the transcripts. If you want it all to stop there is only one way. Ready, aim, fire.
