Trump's foreign policy has had me rethinking things. I've kind of stated this before, but most people have no idea what Trump is doing. The Democrats, for one, don't get it. Europe didn't either, but they do now. One nation that recognized it early on was Britain. Britain really hasn't been a friend to America. Even when we saved their asses in WWI and WWII, they still were doing things against our interests and behind our backs. The discovery of the Ultra program, to be able to read German encrypted messages, was kept as the deepest secret of the war. Many lives were lost because they didn't share what they knew. They even had prior knowledge of the attack on Pearl Harbor and said nothing. You can argue that the intelligence they gathered was too valuable to act on all of it because that would let the Germans know their code had been cracked. They let German operations happen that they knew in advance. This is common knowledge now. At a meeting in Casablanca in 1945, FDR told Churchill to his face that the war wasn't fought so we could go back to 18th century British rules. Unfortunately, he died and the British continued their world order. Trump has upended the global order in his second term and he does something nearly every week that scares Europe. From trade wars, to bringing manufacturing home, to taking over the world's oil supply, to bombing Iran. Not following the usual playbook with the Palestinians, deeper relations with Asia and the Middle East, threatening NATO and taking Greenland, the global elitists are spinning. They have no idea how to counter him and everything he does is utterly pro-American. The Brits, by far, are more concerned that anyone and sent King Charles over here to reassure themselves of our special relationship.
The British crown has been our enemy for 250 years, with only small patches of friendliness. Of course, we fought two wars with them, but even after that they did everything they could to control the world order. Not everything was anti-American, but a lot of very consequential things were. I've mentioned before how they created the off-shore banking system, used nearly exclusively by despots, terrorists and drug cartels, but also those wealthy assets they wanted to help avoid taxes. The City of London was almost exclusively built on the ill-gotten gains by screwing the US over by avoiding the Breton-Woods agreement. There are dozens more examples of Britain controlling the world order at our expense. The British Foreign Service created and funded the Muslim Brotherhood and still funds it today. They originally did it as a backstop to controlling politics over the Suez Canal, but it has gone on for almost 100 years now. The Brotherhood's home base is London, tens of thousands of Muslim extremists are also based there. Americans have lost their lives because of them. More on that later. The British supported the South during the Civil War. The British had a hand in killing President Lincoln and William McKinley. Lincoln in order to topple the US and McKinley because he was the first president in our history to use tariffs to our advantage and to re-establish the American system. In fact, the US made so much money from tariffs that we had to create a government panel on how to spend it all. This was a true break in the British world order at the time. Other nations began to adopt the American style, in a huge blow to Britain. America was making it's own path rather than following the designed and long standing British imperial plan for the world. The two most important allies of the United States in this regard at the time were Russia and Germany. They killed McKinley for it. His assassin had direct ties to London. They assassinated Czar Alexander in Russia for it and fomented a coup in Germany to oust Chancellor Otto von Bismarck. In fact, in the late 1800's British radicals, all based in London, assassinated the president of France, the premier of Spain, the Empress in Austria and the King of Italy. Trump has had three attacks on his life and you can bet the Brits are involved somehow because Trump is breaking from the world order again, bigger this time and with tariffs. Britain has always tried to and successfully so, project their declining power by a system they created. They would be involved everywhere and their colonial past helped them do this. Everywhere they were was always left worse off than they found it, with endless conflict. When ever they could, they would use the United States as their battering ram. Their doing caused our attack on Libya, and Kosovo. They caused Ukraine to be invaded. They fostered the rise of Chavez and Maduro in Venezuela and were very upset when Trump took Maduro out. He has the key to the offshore banking system, of course, as well as knows where all the skeletons are buried in the theft of the 2020 election. The Brits supported Biden in 2020 and Harris in 2024 and were undoubtedly involved in the Dominion voting machine scheme, run out of Venezuela. In essence, the British need stupid Democrat politicians to be running things or they cannot run their system. It relies on American power because they are so weak and weak, easily manipulated Democrats are essential.
I can really dive deep in this, but I want to get to why I'm writing this piece. This 4th of July, Trump had a phone call with Vladimir Putin. You may gain a bit of an understanding on why Putin and Trump like one another after this piece I'm writing. Russia has a particular disdain for Britain and blames them almost exclusively for keeping the war in Ukraine going. During this call, Putin wanted to congratulate America on it's 250th birthday and as part of that discussion told Trump how Russia played it's part in keeping us going. He brought up something I had never heard of before and another occurrence I had heard of but had no idea of its meaning. Back in 1780, a few years before we won our independence, Catherine the Great was instrumental in creating the League of Armed Neutrality. This group of nations, the Russians, Netherlands, Denmark Prussia, Sweden and Portugal, formed as a response to British naval aggression during the Revolutionary War. Collectively, they would defend the commerce of their nations that the British were impeding on, namely, commerce with the colonies. This became part of maritime law that would ensure neutrality, though armed neutrality, on commerce with warring nations. It was a thorn in the British side. Being the preeminent naval power of the time, they thought they ruled the seas. They would actually board neutral nations ships and take them along with their cargo from any ship they felt was aiding the rebellion. Here's an excerpt from www.encyclopedia.com that I can't say any better.
Coming at this stage in the War for Independence, the Russian declaration boosted American morale and inspired the Continental Congress to dispatch Francis Dana to St Petersburg to secure more formal recognition and support. Although Russia had little in the way of naval power to back up the declaration, it encouraged France and other countries to aid the American cause. Britain reluctantly stood by while a few French and Dutch ships under the Russian flag entered American ports, bringing valuable supplies to the hard-pressed colonies. Even more supplies entered the United States via the West Indies with the help of a Russian adventurer, Fyodor Karzhavin. The military effect was minimal, however, because the neutral European states hesitated about making commitments because of fear of British retaliation. By 1781, however, the United Provinces (the Netherlands), Denmark, Sweden, Austria, and Prussia had all joined the league.
That's is an interesting footnote to history that has been forgotten and Russian-American commerce expanded greatly for the next 40 years. Americans at the time remembered this act and thought well of Russia. Putin sees what Trump is doing to unsettle the British and Europeans with this split from their imperial globalist system and definitely agrees. It doesn't align exactly with Russian aims, but it is better than the status quo.
Another incident occurred in 1863 when the Russian navy sailed into the ports of San Francisco and New York in a show of force against Britain, who was interfering in the Civil War on the side of the Confederacy. They stayed for a year. It is a little known fact that England had planned to break the Union blockade on southern ports and Russia warned England of such a move and then backed it up with naval force. That did happen and England was in fact warned. It has been argued that Britain caused the war to happen and actually had a plan to break the US into spheres of influence to be taken over by the European powers. We had become a real competitor in global commerce and dividing and conquering us would be to their benefit. Now, history has whitewashed the wanton aims of weakening and then splitting America apart, but it is true. Russian aims for the visits had a lot to do with a coming conflict over an uprising by the Poles. Much of Europe became involved in this Polish uprising as Russia was trying to crack down on them and England and France were considering military action against Russia if she did not back down. Russia decided it was prudent to sail their relatively small fleet to neutral and safe ports and if hostilities broke out they were to attack enemy commercial shipping. In America, the ships arrival in our ports were seen as a positive. Britain was a real pain in Lincoln's ass during the war. Britain recognized the Confederacy, British agents fomented succession talk in the south for years. The British imported 70% of the cotton the south produced and over 50,000 British men fought in the war for the South in some capacity. The blockade put on by the Union of southern ports actually caused a huge disruption in the British textile industry by mid-war and Lincoln also put tariffs on British goods. To prove my point in how involved England was, get a load of this; https://richardpoe.substack.com/p/how-the-british-caused-the-american
On January 3, 1860, the London Morning Post bluntly called for the restoration of British rule in America.
Should North and South separate, said the Morning Post on January 3, 1860, the colonies of British North America (later combined into the Dominion of Canada) would then “hold the balance of power on the Continent.” Canada would find herself in a strong position to annex the quarreling fragments of the former USA.
The first target should be Portland, Maine, the Post suggested. Strategically located at the terminus of Canada’s Grand Trunk Railway, Portland harbor provided Canada with access to the Atlantic during the winter months, when every port on the St. Lawrence River was frozen. Why leave such a vital asset in American hands?
“On military, as well as commercial grounds, it is obviously necessary,” argued the Morning Post, “that British North America should possess on the Atlantic a port open at all times of year…”
The newspaper recommended that the state of Maine should join the British Empire voluntarily, once the Union collapsed. “[T]he people of that State, with an eye to commercial profit, should offer to annex themselves to Canada,” it suggested.
Canada’s growing power in a post-U.S. world would soon lead to further annexations, the Post predicted, culminating in what the paper called “the restoration of that influence which more than eighty years ago England was supposed to have lost.”
With these words, the Morning Post made clear that it favored a return to British rule in America, of exactly the sort England had enjoyed “more than eighty years ago” (prior to 1780, that is). The threat of reconquest in the Morning Post was not idle. Indeed, it almost succeeded.
We know from other sources, including diplomatic correspondence, that England planned to use the Confederacy to fight a proxy war against the United States.
When America’s strength was spent, Britain and her European allies then intended to demand international mediation to end the war.
If Lincoln refused, the British Navy would break the Union blockade and relieve the South, thus forcing Lincoln to the bargaining table, whether he liked it or not.
The arbitrators would partition the United States into two separate countries, North and South.
Later, they planned to break up the U.S. even further, into four or more mini-states, too weak to resist re-colonization. The first step in Britain’s plan was to exhaust America’s strength through civil war. To accomplish this, Britain became the chief supplier of arms and supplies for the Southern rebels.
On May 13, 1861, Queen Victoria issued a proclamation granting belligerent status to the Confederacy. This meant rebel warships could now operate legally from British ports.
British shipbuilders provided the Confederates with a modern navy. Many of the finest rebel warships were assembled in British shipyards, financed by British bondholders, and, in some cases, manned by British crews.
Confederate raiders paralyzed Union shipping, sinking almost a thousand ships. One raider, the British-built CSS Alabama, destroyed 65 Union merchantmen and warships in a two-year rampage, until she was finally sunk in June, 1864. The Alabama’s crew was mostly British.
British technical support also proved vital in building a gunpowder mill in Augusta, Georgia in 1861. It was the only such facility in the South. Without it, the Confederates would have had no powder.
The British also deployed troops to Canada and Mexico to be ready for invasion. The Mexican foray led to the Mexican Civil War. Nope, Britain is not our friend and it seems to me that this jealousy has been going on for 250 years. It's easy to understand how a declining power like Great Britain would resent the United States. We beat them, humiliated them really, and as they were sinking, we were rising to become the world's greatest super power. The North struggled in the early part of the war and it looked like we might be easy pickings for the British. American industrial power and the population of the North saved our nation again, but history seems to have forgotten British aims at subjugating us once more. Talk about a dastardly plan, completely disregarding the Monroe Doctrine and flagrantly helping the South. In essence, they were at war with us. How this didn't come to blows is beyond me. Even while asking AI about British involvement in the war, you get a nuanced answer. One, I don't agree with. It doesn't matter to me at all that Britain didn't officially or publicly support the South. What they did in actuality was arm, fight along side with and aid the Confederacy, all while planning on breaking our country apart and taking it piecemeal. We should've declared war on them. It wasn't only the Brits who sensed weakness in us at the time. Spain and France both took measures against the US in he Caribbean and elsewhere. In fact, On April 1, 1861, before war broke out, Secretary of State William Seward drafted a memorandum to Lincoln seeking action against European intervention.
“I would at once demand explanations from France and Spain categorically,” Seward wrote. “I would demand explanations from Great Britain and Russia... And if satisfactory explanations are not received from Spain and France, I would convene Congress and declare war against them.”
By the end of the century, Britain was spent and no longer a global power, though they still had a strong navy into WWI. We overtook the UK as the financial center of the world and the rest is history, they say.
Earlier, I referenced the Muslim Brotherhood. What a total disaster this has turned into. Britain is literally responsible for global terror with the creation of the MB. Trump, in another direct blow to England made something perfectly clear in the recently released US Counterterrorism Strategy. This is right from the White House.
"all modern Jihadi groups, from al Qaeda to ISIS to Hamas, can trace their roots back to one organization: the Muslim Brotherhood. The MB is the root of all modern Islamist terrorism predicated on recreating the Muslim Caliphate and killing or enslaving non-Muslims. That is why he (Trump) took the historic step of issuing an Executive Order that declared the original Egyptian MB chapter, along with the Jordanian and Lebanese chapters, as FTOs(Foreign Terrorist Organizations), soon to be followed by others. Given the Muslim Brotherhood’s key role in promoting modern terrorism, we will continue to designate its branches across the Middle East and beyond as FTOs to crush the organization everywhere it operates."
The Muslim Brotherhood was founded in 1928 in Egypt and has been a British asset ever since then. This comes from fairly recently declassified documents of the British government, not me. I'm not saying this, they are. In essence, the British government has funded and built the Muslim Brotherhood from the ground up and is literally responsible for worldwide terrorism. Scott Bessent, the current Treasury Secretary, has issued several new rounds of sanctions on some terror related individuals and entities, most of them reside in London. You can find this out on the official OFAC website. Bessent, speaking to members of the G7, went right after the British by calling for a no excuses approach to ending the flow of money to terror groups through shadow banking and shell companies. The British parliament has been up in arms about this for months. You can see all kinds of videos of them complaining and now the talk is to hold out long enough and Trump will be gone. I find it interesting that Britain wouldn't want to crack down on terrorists, at least publicly, but no, they are upset about it. Proving once again that the offshore banking system is literally the only thing keep England afloat. I think many people will not want to believe Britain's role in countering us or actively working to destroy us or want to subjugate us a second time, but it is all true. People want to believe we are friends, that they fought side by side with us in WWI, WWII, Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq. Yep, they did and those wars were largely due to their global elitist world order. Non-stop conflict, usurping power, destabilizing, corrupting and leaving the world indebted. That tiny little island has done more to bring chaos to the world than perhaps and other country has. We got a lot of the blame for regional conflicts because we now carry the big stick and to be fair, we did our own share of nation building and destabilizing. That world order is now over, but we haven't heard the last from Britain. The crown, Chatham House and the British Foreign Office claim to be our friends, but actively support Democrats, Communists, Islamists and hurting us economically whenever they can. Some friends. Isn't it funny, that in two of our darkest hours, that it was the Russians who aided us? The Russians...hmm.
